HR Hints consultant, Katarzyna Mierzejewska, consistently helped us to adapt management routines to the specifics of health care and what is even more specific - to the work of psychotherapeutic teams in conjunction with medical ones. From a business perspective, it turned out that a management team of doctors and therapists naturally “prioritizes patients over processes,” or in other words, neglects business goals in order to be good for patients and professionals. In practice, seeking change, but with great attention to personnel and ethical issues, this meant working at the core of the management team and administration, including the introduction of regular operational reviews, the precise separation of roles and responsibilities, and the structuring of decisions in key areas.
