Insight 1/6: “I need human, not AI, to solve people-related issues.”

  • Only 12% of leaders we surveyed claimed they would trust AI or an application.
  • Context is too individual, and people area is too vulnerable to give it away to AI.
  • Application/AI can provide some answers but won’t take ownership of solving the issues.

The era of technological solutions powered by artificial intelligence continues and flourishes, with every second bringing new solutions that facilitate our everyday functioning, and workplaces are no exception.

But can we really, or more importantly, are we ready to trust technology enough to let it solve even the most complex people’s problems in our organizations?

As we have recently shown by presenting the results of our last report, despite the leaders’ unquestionable passion for promoting innovation and technological solutions, they do not want to hand over the reins of responsibility for people to the “hands” of the product. Only 12% claimed they would trust AI or an application.

The reason for that is simple and fair: “AI can’t understand the context of my organization,” – most of them declare. This belief resonates and creates space for many questions about what organizational culture really is and whether we are able (should) separate problems in the People & Culture area from actual people. The old truth, although it sounds like a cliché to some, is confirmed – the whole is much more than the sum of its parts, and it is only by taking this broader perspective into account that it is possible to react appropriately to what is happening in the people area of each company.
